The FACES™ Training & Certification Program delivers a practical, field‑ready curriculum designed specifically for police, security agencies, and investigative units. Training is led by Mr. Ken Gooley, Former U.S. DEA Officer and Lead FACES™ Training Specialist, bringing decades of operational experience in cognitive interviewing and suspect identification. Our program equips officers with the skills to conduct professional eyewitness interviews and generate accurate digital facial composites using the FACES™ system—building a sustainable, in‑house capability for ongoing investigations.

What the Training Covers

Our intensive 2–3 day course blends theory, hands‑on practice, and operational workflow integration. Core Modules

Training Format

Designed for 2–4 officers using two FACES™

software seats, ensuring maximum hands‑on time.

• Foundations & Cognitive Interviewing • Eyewitness memory principles • Avoiding bias and contamination • Cognitive interviewing in Arabic law‑enforcement contexts • Guided practice recreating known faces

• Advanced Composition & Regional Customization • Micro‑adjustments and fine‑tuning • Adding scars, tattoos, headwear, and regional beard styles • Simulated witness–operator interview scenarios • Composite accuracy review and feedback

(Optional): • Operational Integration & Train‑the‑Trainer • Exporting composites to wanted posters and intelligence bulletins • Case logging and chain‑of‑custody documentation • Integrating composites into checkpoints and field operations • Building internal training capability • Final assessment and certification

FACES™ Operator Certificate

• Train‑the‑Trainer Recognition (where applicable) • Official documentation for agency records Training Requirements - To ensure smooth delivery, agencies should provide: • 2 laptops/workstations with internet access • 2 high‑resolution secondary monitors • English manuals and feature cheat sheets (Supplied by FACES Trainer) • Photo printing or secure digital export capability • Quiet interview space for simulation exercises Cultural & Regional Accuracy FACES™ includes extensive tools for representing local features, including: • Regional hair styles and beard patterns • Skin tone variations • Headwear (Keffiyeh, caps, helmets) • Scars, tattoos, and distinctive marks Our training ensures officers know how to apply these elements accurately and professionally.
